SVG Box Template Size, Style and Paper Size

This page contains a comprehensive list with the SVG box template sizes, style and if the template will fit on 8.5×11, 8.5×14, 9×12, 12×12 or 12×24 paper.

SVG Box Template Style

The template style will tell you the layout for the template. You can then view the instructions for assembling the templates if you need assistance.

SVG Box Template Paper Size

The template paper size is for people who want to use a printer. The chart will let you know if the template can be printed on a printer with standard 8.5×11 paper, or if you need a wide format printer.

Please note: The template TOTAL size may be larger than the paper size, that is because once the template is ungrouped, each piece will fit on the paper size listed. If you are printing the template with a printer, your program needs to be able to ungroup a template if it is more than one piece.

  • For example a 1 piece template that fits 8.5×11 paper will print on 8.5×11 paper.
    A 2 piece template that fits 8.5×11 paper will separate so it can cut on 8.5×11 paper, but it may not print together to fit 8.5×11 paper.
  • If you are wanting to print a template as a picture or PDF, and you do not have the ability to separate a template to print each piece, I recommend you send me an email to find out if your template will print correctly prior to purchasing. (support@svgboxcuts.com or use our Contact Page)
  • You may also request your order be converted to PDF or PNG free of charge, and I will separate the pieces for you. (A template that requires 12×12 paper can not be separated to fit 8.5×11 paper.)

As larger material becomes available the paper size will also be helpful for people who will have the ability to cut larger templates than using a 12×12 mat with Cricut, Silhouette, etc.

SVG Box Template Total Width

The total SVG box template width is for people using a cutting program that does not pull SVG templates in “true to size.” These sizes are for the SVG format only.

  • Open the SVG box template in your desired cutting program. (Such as Cricut Design Space)
  • Lock your aspect ratio on your dimensions
  • DO NOT UNGROUP THE TEMPLATE. If your program automatically ungroups the template, be sure to select all of the pieces before changing the size.
  • Enter the number for the template width from the chart in the dimension for the width in your program. The height should adjust properly.
  • Some of the widths are the same listed in the chart because of the way the templates are saved. It does not mean the templates are going to be the same size.

PDF Charts

  • *As of October 2022 all templates were updated and replaced on the site. Some sizes were changed. If you have an old chart, some templates may have different sizes.
  • The first SVG template PDF chart is for Specialty sets and is 11 pages.
    Boxes are listed in alphabetical order.
  • The second SVG template PDF chart is for the size specific boxes and is 38 pages.
    It starts with the smallest sizes and increases in order.
  • Move your mouse to the bottom of the chart and the other page numbers will appear.
  • Use the arrow keys to scroll through the pages.
