This post gives written and video instructions showing you how to assemble our SVG Flip Top Lid box sets. (Video can be found at the end of the post.)
Assemble SVG Box Base
The box shown in the video uses our “Main” SVG box template. Different size boxes will have different template styles for the box base.
***Instructions for assembling different style box templates can be found on the Basic Assembly Instruction page.
- Cut the templates using a cutting machine or scissors.
- Fold on all the dotted guide lines to create creases.
- Place glue and / or two sided tape on the outside of the small tabs.
- Adhere the tabs to the inside of the adjacent sides.
Assemble SVG Flip Top Lid / Wrap Around Lid
- Fold along all dotted lines.
- Put adhesive on the bottom of the box base.
Two sided tape may peel off after a while, but glue may warp the paper. If you use glue, be sure to make it a thin layer. (I like to use both glue and two sided tape together.)
- Try to center the box base between the sides of the BOTTOM flap, and then place the base at the crease.
- If you used glue you might want to put a weight in the box to help the cardstock dry flat.
- Apply adhesive to the back edge of the box base.
- If you used glue you might want to apply a weight on this step also.

That’s all there is to assemble the SVG Flip Top Lid Box Sets.
Options To Assemble Flip Top Lid Boxes
- Apply velcro or a magnet to the SVG flip top lid and box base to hold the lid closed.
2. Apply a sticker jewel to decorate the SVG wrap around lid.
3. Larger flip top lids will include a decorative flap that you may glue on for more detail.
